The majority of these positions have their hours restricted to weekdays, 8am to 5pm, although some evening and weekend positions are available. From Oct. 2004 through Sep. 2005: Volunteer services reported 120,812 hours from 977 Volunteers in 217 areas. Contribution of time in dollars is equivalent to 2,795,589.68 (according to the national Independent Sector.) Four volunteers reached 5,000 hours of service, receiving a pin and placement on the Volunteer Honor Board located outside the volunteer office.
